About the Venue

Co-op Live will offer a food and beverage hospitality service that will put us head and shoulders above the crowd, as we welcome over 23,500 fans and amazing artists to taste the delicious food and drinks unique to the space in Manchester.

 

With 32 amazing bars and restaurants and 12 premium lounges and clubs – we’re going to be delivering an exceptional hospitality service for the people of Manchester and beyond. On the menu will be great food, seasoned with world class service and all with a planet friendly vibe in the heart of our vibrant community.

Role Purpose

As we gear up to opening our doors, we’re excited to announce we are looking for talented Box staff members to follow direction from the F&B Supervisor to deliver a unique hospitality food and beverage service offering for our premium hospitality box suites.

 

You will be a part of an awesome team of colleagues who instinctively strive to exceed expectations, to support us in creating the best live music experience in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a warm welcoming atmosphere to all guests
  • Deliver exceptional standard of service
  • Preparing bar areas for service
  • Maintain a proper dining experience, serving food and drinks deliver a service with a smile
  • Clearing tables before and after meals
  • Taking food and drinks orders to ensure prompt service
  • Deal with customer requests and queries
  • Good knowledge and understanding of food menu items, allergens, and beverages available on the bar
  • Stock control and rotation throughout service
  • Assist in always keeping the Box suite area clean and tidy
  • Operating tills and taking and processing payments from customers
  • Restocking any suite fridges as and when required and at the end of the shift
  • Abide by and enforce all licensing laws
  • Attend mandatory and other training as required
  • Knowledge and understanding of safety standards and ensure implementation
  • Deliver on environmentally friendly processes and procedures, energy use and waste management and ensure full implementation across your area
  • Deliver experiences which stand us out from the crowd from our competition, providing memorable fan experience

This is a casual role offering flexible shifts available around your other commitments - involves shifts at evenings and weekends

 

Hourly Rate: Real Living Wage - Minimum £11.00 per hour + holiday pay on top + Service Charge

 

Start Date: March or April 2024 - when we open our doors to Co-op Live!

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Good communication and language skills with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, fostering a positive and cooperative work environment
  • Champion working as part of a team in a fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • Passion and skills for premium hospitality and for delivering great service
  • Possess thorough working knowledge of all applicable sanitation requirements, alcohol service policies, safety standards, etc. pertaining to OVG Hospitality and premium services operations
  • COSHH awareness training
  • Food Safety and Allergen awareness training
  • Work independently when required using own initiative
  • Well presented, friendly, approachable and with an eye for detai
  • As passionate about great service as we are
  • Deal with customer requests and queries
  • Multitask and prioritise during busy periods
  • Willing to take on other jobs to balance the teams work load

Desirable

  • WSET qualification
  • Cocktail making skills and advanced Beverage knowledge
  • Food & Bar service experience of a premium hospitality area in a stadium, events arena, festival environment or equivalent fast-paced hospitality setting or volume-led environment
  • Knowledge of Manchester’s culture, people and F&B high end hospitality scene preferred

Due to licensing laws all applicants must be 18 or over.
