About the Venue

Co-op Live will offer a food and beverage hospitality service that will put us head and shoulders above the crowd, as we welcome over 23,500 fans and amazing artists to taste the delicious food and drinks unique to the space in Manchester.

 

With 32 amazing bars and restaurants and 12 premium lounges and clubs – we’re going to be delivering an exceptional hospitality service for the people of Manchester and beyond. On the menu will be great food, seasoned with world class service and all with a planet friendly vibe in the heart of our vibrant community.

Role Purpose

As we gear up to opening our doors, we’re excited to announce we are looking for talented Kiosk Bar staff members to follow direction from the Retail Catering Supervisors to deliver the best catering experience to all our fans within general admission areas.

 

You will be a part of an awesome team of colleagues who instinctively strive to exceed expectations, to support us in creating the best live music experience in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a warm welcoming atmosphere to all guests
  • Deliver exceptional standard of service to all customers
  • Preparing the Kiosk areas for service
  • Assist in always keeping the catering units clean and tidy
  • Taking orders over the counter and inputting in EPOS till systems, processing payments or helping customers with self-service units
  • Serving food and drinks to customers and deal with requests and queries
  • Stock control and rotation throughout service
  • Comply and complete any company paperwork as and when requested
  • Learn the menu offered to be able to provide full product knowledge to spectators
  • Restocking all the fridges and cleaning down the unit at the end of the shift
  • Abide by and enforce all licensing laws
  • Follow all food safety regulations when serving and handling food products
  • Attend mandatory and other training as required
  • Knowledge and understanding of safety standards and ensure implementation
  • Deliver on environmentally friendly processes and procedures, energy use and waste management and ensure full implementation across your area
  • Deliver experiences which stand us out from the crowd from our competition, providing memorable fan experience

This is a casual role offering flexible shifts available around your other commitments - involves shifts at evenings and weekends

 

Pay Rate: Real Living Wage - Minimum £11.00 per hour + holiday pay on top

 

Start Date: March or April 2024 - when we open our doors to Co-op Live!

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Good communication and language skills with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, fostering a positive and cooperative work environment
  • Make sound operational decisions for a Kiosk area quickly and under pressure
  • Champion working as part of a team in a fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • Passion and skills for retail catering and for delivering great service
  • Possess thorough working knowledge of all applicable sanitation requirements, alcohol service policies, safety standards, etc. pertaining to OVG Hospitality and premium services operations
  • COSHH awareness training
  • Food Safety and Food Allergens knowledge
  • Ability to consistently adhere to the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality
  • Work independently when required using own initiative
  • Well presented, friendly, approachable and with an eye for detail
  • As passionate about great service as we are
  • Deal with customer requests and queries
  • Multitask and prioritise during busy periods
  • Willing to take on other jobs to balance the teams work load

Desirable

  • Bar or Retail catering experience of a retail catering/concession area in a stadium, events arena, festival environment or equivalent fast-paced hospitality setting or volume-led environment
  • Till operational experience
  • Knowledge of Manchester’s culture, people and F&B high end hospitality scene preferred

Due to licensing laws all applicants must be 18 or over.
