Co-op Live offers a food and beverage hospitality service that will put us head and shoulders above the crowd, as we welcome over 23,500 fans and amazing artists to taste the delicious food and drinks unique to the space in Manchester.

Role Purpose

In the role of Beverage Stock Manager, you will be the key figure in managing our extensive beverage inventory. This pivotal role requires precise stock management, cost control, and coordination between the commercial and logistics teams, as well as external suppliers and delivery partners. Your goal is to ensure seamless operations and optimal stock levels to meet the high demands of our venue’s events. 

You will oversee beverage inventory across 5 levels, 15 cellars, and multiple storerooms, implementing control processes to track stock levels, ensuring accurate and timely replenishments. Monitoring and managing stock levels is crucial, involving regular audits to minimize wastage and overholding. You will place and manage all beverage orders and be the conduit between the external supplier and the in-house logistics and goods-in teams. Creating a working relationship with our suppliers and delivery partners will be key to a smooth operational process. 

Additionally, you will act as the liaison between the Commercial Analyst and the Logistics Manager, aligning event-day stock management strategies and enhancing operational efficiencies. On an event day, the role will be hands on, working with the logistics and cellar teams to ensure smooth and accurate stock distribution, and identifying areas of improvement. Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations is essential.  

You will also work alongside the F&B Cost Controller to lead on monthly stocktakes, ensuring accuracy in counting, efficient reporting and a timely and effective stocktake process. 

 

This is a full-time permanent role which will require flexibility as involves shifts at evenings and weekends. 

Salary: up to £32,000 p.a. depending on experience 

Start Date: August/September 2024  

 

Knowledge, experience & skills required: 

  • Proven experience in stock control, inventory management, or a related role within a large venue, hospitality, or similar environment. 
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to generate and interpret detailed reports. 
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail. 
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel. 
  • A hands-on approach, and the ability to communicate efficiently with various departments. 
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to stock handling.
