Oak View Group

Oak View Group is reinventing the way the world comes together.

Driven by a passion to revolutionise the live events industry with dynamic thinking and an unshakeable dedication to those we serve, OVG turns up the volume on what makes life extraordinary.

From inspired development to curated hospitality, from brand innovation to premium for all, OVG is setting new standards and redefining expectations for everyone.

About the Venue

Set in a beautifully restored Georgian building on Chiswell Street in the heart of the City, The Brewery is one of London's most iconic event venues. From intimate dinners to large-scale corporate productions, it hosts hundreds of events each year across its distinctive spaces — most notably the striking Porter Tun Room.

The Brewery is part of Oak View Group (OVG), a global leader in live entertainment, venue management and development. Being part of OVG means access to world-class resources, an inspiring network of industry professionals, and a culture that genuinely values expertise.

Role Purpose

We're looking for an experienced Audio Visual professional to join The Brewery's Technical Support Team as Technical Support Manager. This is a hands-on, client-facing role sitting at the heart of our events operation — you'll be the key technical interface between The Brewery and the external production companies and suppliers who bring our clients' events to life.

Day to day, you'll be supervising the installation of AV equipment and rigging (primarily in the Porter Tun Room), monitoring compliance, managing load-in and load-out, and ensuring every production runs smoothly within the venue's technical and safety requirements. Alongside the on-event work, you'll also play an important planning and administrative role — reviewing production documentation, liaising with event sales teams, and helping maintain the venue's technical information pack.

What you'll be doing
  • Acting as the first point of contact for production crews on site — supervising equipment installation and rigging to ensure it matches pre-approved plans
  • Monitoring sound levels throughout events to ensure compliance with venue limits
  • Managing load-in and load-out, including crew and noise management before and after events
  • Reviewing Delphi (the venue's booking system) to identify upcoming events requiring Technical Support involvement, and proactively engaging with production companies early
  • Checking and providing feedback on incoming production schedules, installation plans, and health & safety documentation
  • Maintaining and distributing the venue's technical information pack to incoming suppliers
  • Communicating shift requirements to the event sales team so clients are charged correctly
  • Contributing to health & safety meetings and raising operational observations
  • Supporting in-house equipment maintenance — lamp changes, software updates, fault reporting, PAT testing, and planned preventive maintenance
  • Assisting the wider Facilities team when directed by the Technical Manager
What we're looking for
  • Solid, demonstrable experience in Audio Visual within the live events industry — this is a role for someone who knows their way around a production
  • Confidence supervising external production companies and suppliers on site
  • A working understanding of rigging, sound systems, and AV equipment installation
  • Familiarity with health & safety requirements in a live events context
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills — you'll be representing The Brewery to clients and crews alike
  • A flexible, professional approach — events don't always run to schedule, and neither do shifts
  • High attention to detail when reviewing technical and H&S documentation
  • A smart, presentable appearance and a positive attitude on site
Good to know

This role involves flexible shift patterns including evenings and weekends — that's the nature of the events world. You'll need to be comfortable with that, and with the idea that no two weeks look the same. In return, you'll be working in a genuinely stunning venue, with a team that takes its craft seriously, backed by the resources of a global organisation.

This role pays £32,000 - £35,000 per annum and is based on site at The Brewery.

Benefits:

• Enhanced holiday entitlement

• Learning and Development opportunities

• Pension Scheme

• Staff social events throughout the year

• Celebration on big birthdays

• Employee Assistance Programme

• Referral Scheme

• Corporate Gym Discount
